TRAILERS: STYLES

Dan Skinner of film space believes that there are many different types of trailers and that a trailers style will depend on several different factors. Trailers are crafted with the intention to appeal to the same audiences as the film. Trailers consists of a lot of questions, question that once the film is releases can be answered. 

I watched and listened to five different short clips from Dan Skinner as he revealed how different styles of trailers are made. According to Dan Skinner the 5 styles of trailers are The Teaser Trailer, The Main Trailer, TV Spots, Using Graphics and Trailers in the Digital Age. 

The Teaser Trailer 

The teaser trailer although is very minute can be a very successful way to enhance audiences interest in a movie. Teaser trailers normally last between 10-30 seconds to allow audiences to receive some basic information about an incoming film. The teaser trailer may reveal the genre, it may show where it is set and what big name stars will be acting in the film.
