1 GENRE CONVENTIONS

                   

The main purpose of a trailer is in order for a story to be presented however not giving away the 'important parts' I have also limited the trailer to no longer than 2 minutes as you do not want the audience being disengaged with the trailer, as this will decrease the audience that I have gained. I feel as though the unique selling point with my trailer is that there are not many right of passage films out there, especially films that involve sport, so I felt as though there was a gap in the market, I feel as though the tactical thinking before creating the trailer will be beneficial and will allow me to gather an increased audience. In the clip above I have created an analysis of all the different codes and conventions seen on the trailer. It starts of with the ident, followed by many shots, including a brief explanation on the inter-titles.
